Toshiba Introduces New Regulator IC for Autos.(integrated circuit, TB9000F)(Brief Article)(Product Announcement)

Toshiba America Electronic Components (TAEC) recently unveiled a new regulator integrated circuit (IC) that could help cut down on current consumption in automotive applications. The five-volt TB9000F features a 120-microampere consumption level, the lowest currently available to the automotive market.

Existing IC technology generally features consumption levels in the range of 200 to 400 microamperes. While these ICs generally sacrifice some functions, the TB9000F reaches the 120-microampere level at full functionality.
