Echelon, SCE to Install EV Battery Chargers.(Echelon Corp. and Southern California Edison Co. and electric vehicle recharger installations)(Brief Article)

Echelon Corporation recently announced that it has joined with Southern California Edison (SCE) to install energy-efficient, non-road electric vehicle (EV) battery chargers at various facilities in California. The company said the new battery chargers will service forklifts, golf carts and electric-powered production transports, and are expected to provide energy cost savings up to $600 per EV per year.
The California Energy Commission (CEC) recently awarded SCE a contract to deliver an eight-megawatt (MW) electric demand savings as part of its Innovative Peak Load Reduction Program.
