Exide Technologies recently announced that it has opened a new manufacturing facility in Manchester, England. The manufacturing facility is responsible for the production of charging systems for Motive Power batteries. The company said that the new facility, which opened in September, reached full production in December.

The company's Motive Power Business Group currently produces lead-acid batteries for fork-lift trucks and other vehicles for the materials handling industry including electric airport vehicles, access platforms, electric cleaning equipment and mining vehicles.
