Flexcar recently announced that Starbucks Coffee Company has added a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) to the fleet at its corporate offices in Seattle, WA. The company said Starbucks has expanded a preexisting agreement with Flexcar to include a 2003 Honda Civic HEV that will be used for daily business-related errands and trips.

Under its agreement with Flexcar, Starbucks "partners" are able to reserve vehicles in Flexcar's car-sharing network using a phone reservation system. Flexcar manages the use and availability of the vehicles, and tracks the hours and miles driven. Participants in the Flexcar program pay for the use of the vehicles, while Flexcar covers other costs, including fuel, parking and insurance.
