Ener1, Inc. recently announced it has appointed Lu Chow, a former advanced primary lithium battery development consultant for UltraLife Battery, as the new general manager (GM) of its battery division. The company said Chow, who specializes in "taking a battery concept through prototyping to manufacturing," will be responsible for battery research and development (R&D), engineering and manufacturing operations.
Ener1 said Chow served as chief technology office for NEXcell Battery Company, Ltd. in Taiwan before working with UltraLife, leading the development of a new nickel metal-hydride battery and the related pilot and high-speed production lines.
