Segway Cancels Demonstration in Santa Cruz, CA.(demonstration of Human Transporter cancelled)(Brief Article)

Manchester, NH-based Segway, LLC recently announced the cancellation of a planned public demonstration of its two-wheel electric scooter, known as the Human Transporter (HT), in Santa Cruz, CA.
"We have 100 employees, and it's a pretty busy time," said Segway public affairs director Stacy Ferguson.
Santa Cruz county officials complained that the company's announcement occurred less than one week before the scheduled event, which was arranged to exhibit the HT to city leaders, police, transportation groups and other interested parties from the cities of Santa Cruz and Capitola.
