Ford, Fuel Cells Canada to Operate FCV Fleet in Vancouver.(three-year Vancouver Fuel Cell Vehicle Project)(Brief Article)

Fuel Cells Canada, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of Canada's fuel cell (FC) and hydrogen industries, recently joined with Ford Motor Company, the Canadian government and the provincial government of British Columbia to announce the "first-ever long-term deployment" of a fleet of fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) in Vancouver, British Columbia beginning "early next year."
"Testing [FCVs] in everyday conditions and applications is a critical step in moving the industry toward commercialization," said Ford sustainable mobility technologies director Mike Schwarz. "Projects like this will provide the data we need to engineer improved performance, reliability and durability of [FCVs] and prepare the market for widespread commercialization."
