American Honda Motor Company, Inc. recently announced that the manual version of the 2004 Honda Insight hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) has earned the highest Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fuel economy rating for any passenger car for the fifth consecutive year, with a city/highway fuel economy of 60/66 miles per gallon (mpg).

"We're thrilled to hold the title of America's most fuel efficient vehicle for the fifth straight year," said American Honda Alternative Fuel Vehicle Programs senior manager Gunnar Lindstrom. "Honda vehicles are consistently at the top of their class for fuel efficiency and low emissions and the Insight is no exception."
