RailPower to Receive Funding for Hybrid Locomotive Demo Fleet.(RailPower Technologies Corp. to get funding from Sustainable Development Technology Canada)

RailPower Technologies Corporation and Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) recently announced $1.5 million Canadian (about $1.1 million U.S.) in funding towards the construction of nine additional locomotives to complete a 10-unit hybrid locomotive demonstration fleet, "subject to completion of a final contribution agreement."
"We are starting the immediate build of five Green Goat [hybrid locomotives] for our proposed 10-locomotive demonstration fleet program," said RailPower president and CEO Jim Maier.
