Televisa Believed In Internet Alliance Talks With O'Globo, Telecom Italia.

Emas.com, a leading Mexican horizontal web portal owned by local media giant Grupo Televisa, is in informal talks with Brazilian television chain O'Globo and its Internet business partner, Telecom Italia, with a view to forming a strategic alliance, according to a report in Mexico City daily Reforma. Televisa is looking to form a partnership that would serve as a springboard for Emas.com's entry into the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American regional web content markets, Reforma business columnist Dario Celis Estrada reported. Televisa reportedly also would expect any Emas.com partner to provide the portal with new financial backing.
