DaimlerChrysler To Grow Coahuila Motor Plant.

DaimlerChrysler's Mexican subsidiary will boost output at its motor plant in Ramos Arizpe, in the northern state of Coahuila, to almost 900,000 units per year when a new production line starts up at the plant some time during the next two years, according to a report in Mexico City daily Reforma. DaimlerChrysler Mexico Chairman and CEO Miles G. Bryant unveiled the company's plans for the plant on Thursday, during a visit to Coahuila. The expansion of the plant - at a cost of 520 million dollars - is a major part of DaimlerChrysler's projected 1.08 billion dollars in investment in Mexico over the next two years, according to the report.
