Mexico Prepares New Arguments Against Fructose Imports.

Mexico's Economy ministry will present a new argument where it will try to demonstrate that fructose imports from the United States harm national producers, said National Chamber of the Sugar and Alcohol Industries Chairman Carlos Seoane. As a result of a ruling by a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) panel against Mexico, the country is attempting to have the judgment reversed, reported Mexico City daily el Economista. Seoane met with Economy Minister Luis Ernesto Derbez to discuss the strategy the government will use at the next meeting with the United States. The decision of NAFTA's conflict resolution panel should be expected between Dec. 6 and 11, said Seoane. Derbez confirmed that on Aug. 6 he sent an appeal of the NAFTA...
