Foreign Investment In Mexican Stock Market Increases.

The balance of foreign investment in the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) in October increased by 6.19 percent over the month before, to 51.825 billion dollars, reported Mexico City daily el Universal. Still, foreign investment in the BMV was down annually by 3.49 percent. The market is now in a period of consolidation, said Value Casa de Bolsa economist Jose Gomez, although external pressures such as Argentina and the war in Afghanistan are still hurting the market. The appreciation of the peso was good for the Mexican market, where specialists said the stronger peso helped to create credibility for Mexican securities and to maintain certainty, "more now, as the emerging markets are in negative conditions," reported Mexico City daily...
