MEXICO CITY, Sep 27, 2002 (El Economista/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- The slow performance of the U.S. economy could lead the automobile company DaimlerChrysler to carry out a restructuring process that would impact Mexico in the medium term.Standard & Poor's (S&P) said that since Chrysler Mexico is the only producer of the PT Cruiser model and the new 5.7-liter V8 engine, as well as an important producer of Dodge Ram pick-ups-some of the most profitable products-- the financial operations of the local company could be affected.
