MEXICO CITY, Oct 11, 2002 (El Economista/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Banco Santander Central Hispano has yet to define the sale of its pension fund administrator Afore Santander Mexicano, said Carlos Gomez y Gomez, president of Grupo Financiero Santander Serfin Mexicano. Gomez said he has not yet received word from the group's headquarters in Spain, although BSCH Communications Director Gonzalo Echeandia said Oct. 2 that the company was in negotiations with interested parties. According to the National Commission on the Retirement Savings System (Consar), Afore Santander Mexicano is third in terms of market share, with 11.3% and 3.2 million members through June 2002.
