Nokia launches new mobile phone.

MEXICO CITY, Nov 8, 2002 (El Economista/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Nokia de Mexico and service supply company Telefonica Movil have signed an agreement to market the new 8280 mobile telephone, developed with Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology. Angel Aedo, director of Marketing at Nokia, said the new product would help the firm consolidate its leadership of the cellular telephone market in Mexico. He said the new phone would have more than 10 services to satisfy clients' demands, such as the mobile Internet navigator, message services, a text predictor and downloadable ring tones from the Internet, among others. At first Telefonica will sell it.
