Panasonic, Sanyo and Samsung will keep investing in Mexico.

MEXICO CITY, Jan 9, 2003 (El Economista/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Directors of firms including Panasonic, Sanyo, Samsung and the U.S. Consumer Electronics Association, which covers some 35 electronics companies, have confirmed their intentions to keep investing in Mexico because they say the economic climate has improved."Our investments to increase our participation in Mexico are impending," said the firms.However, the companies underlined their concern about the growing share of the market controlled by Chinese imports, because consumers appear willing to buy cheaper, lower quality products.
