IFE councilors should not represent political parties.

MEXICO CITY, Mar 17, 2003 (C&A/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- The 1-billion peso (US$92.7 million) fine handed to the Institutional Revolution Party (PRI) by the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE) for its part in the "Pemexgate" scandal has become the first great political crisis for the IFE in the seven years of its present structure.
