Cemex president Zambrano named to board of IBM.

MEXICO CITY, Jun 25, 2003 (El Universal/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Lorenzo Zambrano, president and director general of Cementos Mexicanos (Cemex), is to become a member of the board of International Business Machines (IBM) today. He will also be one of those responsible for ensuring that the company is transparent and is protecting minority shareholders as he will form part of the Corporate Administration committee of IBM."He is the first Latin American to join the board of the company," said IBM spokesman Joe Stunkard. "He was chosen because he is one of the world's business leaders and one of the most recognized users of technology.
