Taiwanese company buys Mexican plant from Motorola.

MEXICO CITY, Oct 21, 2003 (America Economia/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- The Taiwanese company Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., the world's fifth-largest manufacturer of electronic devices for other firms, has reported that it has purchased a manufacturer of cellular telephones in Mexico from Motorola Inc.
Hon Hai paid US$18 million for the factory and the land on which the facilities stand in the state of Chihuahua.
In a statement to the Taiwan stock exchange, the company reported that it had also sealed a long-term manufacturing agreement with Motorola regarding the plant it just bought.
