MEXICO CITY, Dec 15, 2003 (El Universal/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Mass media businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego has practically obtained authorization from the Treasury Secretariat (SHCP) to start operations with his insurance company Aseguradora Azteca.

Executives of the group headed by Salinas revealed that the financial authorities have already given the green light to the company, which will open its doors in January.
