Pemex facing lawsuits for US$100 million.

MEXICO CITY, Mar 16, 2004 (El Universal/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Some time this month, Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) will have to face lawsuits from the companies Construcciones Industriales del Golfo and Zapata Internacional for services rendered and not paid. The State-owned oil company says that it has not created enough reserves to face these processes if it should lose them.

In March 2000, Construcciones Industriales del Golfo presented an ordinary commercial suit against Pemex Refinacion arguing that it had not been paid for services rendered in a public work contract.
