Mexico in third place in world pirate music sales.

MEXICO CITY, Jul 23, 2004 (Cronica/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- A report from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) states that a total of 1.1 billion copies of pirate music recordings were sold around the world last year, moving an estimated total of US$4.5 billion. In Latin America, Brazil, Mexico and Paraguay headed the list, while in global terms, China was the worst offender, followed by Brazil and then Mexico.
This was the second year running that Mexico has been ranked in third place on the top 10 list of music piracy offences by the IFPI. In fourth place was Pakistan, followed by Paraguay, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and Ukraine in 10th place.
