Cemex gets put under the microscope.

MEXICO CITY, Oct 04, 2004 (El Financiero/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- The world's financial and business community has put Lorenzo H. Zambrano Trevino, head of Mexican cement company Cemex, under the spotlight following the recent announcement that the local company shelled out US$5.8 billion to acquire the British cement firm RMC Group.
Just one week after it came to light that Cemex has now invested more funds than any other Mexican firm to acquire another company, the perception of analysts and specialists has changed from surprise and criticism to reflection and analysis, as energy is now being focused on studying Cemex's goals and projections.
