WB: Businesspeople must be more proactive.

MEXICO CITY, Oct 08, 2004 (Especialistas en Medios/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- In light of the absence of good results in the public sector, businesspeople must be the ones to promote changes in the country, suggested Guillermo Perry, World Bank (WB)'s chief economist for Latin America.
"The main party responsible for growth is the private sector; it has been proven that in countries where the private sector is more dynamic, proactive and eager to create alliances with the government, economic growth is greater," said Perry.
