Grupo Continental invests 100mn pesos in Coahuila.

MEXICO CITY, Oct 18, 2004 (El Financiero/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Through an investment of more than 100 million pesos (US$8.73 million), Grupo Continental (Contal), bottling company of Coca-Cola, will merge three plants located in Coahuila and Durango into just one facility, thus giving birth to the new bottling company Embotelladora Lagunera.

Contal said that the new plant would allow operation to be more efficient and would increase monthly sales, which average 3 million box-units. Embotelladora Coahuila will be the production center after closing Embotelladora Gomez Palacio and an investment of 19 million pesos (US$1.65 million) is made, while the firm will open the Santa Rita distribution center, which required almost 90...
