WalMart establishes cooperative relationship with CNC.

MEXICO CITY, Dec 09, 2004 (Mexico Analytica/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Wal-Mart Mexico and the National Rural Confederation (CNC) have established a working relationship to open marketing channels for Mexican agricultural products. The marketing chain is expected to offer agricultural products, to allow farmers to sell harvests at good prices, and final consumers to obtain better prices.Heladio Ramirez Lopez, CNC representative, said that the agreement would eliminate middlemen so that producers can trade at higher prices.Nevertheless, the US firm said that the meeting held with CNC, which includes more than 300 farmers, was not held to sign a supply agreement with producers, as reported by the rural organizations, but to encourage them...
