An updated version of its Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator designed to help financial institution personnel provide accurate information about deposit insurance coverage to customers has been released by the FDIC.
EDIE Banker Version 2.0 was developed in response to comments and suggestions from bankers who are frequent users of the original EDIE for bankers released in December 2002. EDIE-BV 2.0 also incorporates the recent changes to the living trust regulations and allows calculations for most living trust accounts. In addition, the updated version can be used to calculate insurance coverage for accounts held by businesses and organizations.
EDIE-BV 2.0 is available via download from the FDIC Web site and does not require a connection to the Internet to operate....
