IA Thomas H. Pohlman has been named president and CEO of Ames National Corp. He fills the position formerly held by Daniel L. Krieger, who will continue as chairman of Ames National. Pohlman joined the Ames organization in 1998 as senior vice president of its lead bank, First National, Ames. He was elected president of the bank in 1999. Last year, Pohlman was named executive vice president and chief operations officer for the holding company.
Community State, Ankeny, has promoted Cindy Williams to senior vice president of compliance/internal controls. She will be responsible for bankwide regulatory compliance. The bank has also advanced Erin Bearden to vice president of operations and Dan Kitzinger to vice president, commercial loan officer.
