IFC Wins EPA Award.(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)

International Fuel Cells (IFC, 195 Governor's Hwy., P.O. Box 739, South Windsor, CT 06074; Tel: 860/727-2310) has been awarded the EPA's Climate Protection Award in recognition of IFC's efforts to protect the climate by commercializing fuel cell technology.

"We are proud of past successes in making fuel cells a commercial reality and the positive environmental results that have come from those efforts," says William Miller, president of IFC. "We are now focused on making fuel cells a ubiquitous power source not only for commercial buildings, but cars, buses, and homes, too."

IFC has manufactured and sold the 200-kW PC25 fuel cell power plant since 1991. Each PC25 unit produces less than an ounce of pollutants for every 1,000 kWh of electricity...
