GM Wins Grant From Canada.(General Motors of Canada Ltd., Hydrogenics Corp. recives grant from Sustainable Development Technology Canada)(hydrogen refueling station)(Brief Article)

The Canadian governments Sustainable Development Technology Canada (STDC) foundation provided CDN$1.45 million to GM Canada (1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada L1H 8P7; Tel: 1- 800/463-7483) and Hydrogenics Corp. (5985 McLaughlin Road, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada L5R 1B8; Tel: 905 361-3660) to place a hydrogen refueling station and a fuel cell-powered fork lift at the GM plant in Oshawa, Ontario.

The Hydrogenics HyLYZER refueling station produces a variable amount of hydrogen to meet demand. As with the Anuvu concept discussed in this issue's interview with David Tarnowski, the President of Anuvu, refueling a fork lift using a hydrogen station takes dramatically less time than battery recharging.
