Cosmo Oil (Yaichi Kimura, President, 1-1-1 Shibura, Minato-ku, Tokyo 10-8528; Tel: 03 3798 3211; www2.cosmo-oil.co.jp) has initiated a field test of LPG-fueled Toshiba (Yoshiyuki Kumura, Director, Toshiba Fuel Cell Power Systems, I-1, Shibaura 1-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo 105-8001, Japan; Tel: 81 3 3457-4511; www.toshiba.co.jp) PEM fuel cells at the Isaka Dam Cycle Park in Isakacho, Yokkaichi City in the Mie Prefecture. The objectives of the tests are to assess performance and the maintenance required for the fuel cells. Of particular interest is the operational behavior of the propane reformer.
