DaimlerChrysler Delivers Two FCs to Bay Area.(fuel cells)(Brief Article)

The first impact of the $88 million recently granted by the U.S. DOE to DaimlerChrysler (Dr. Klaus Bonhoff, Product Manager and Market Development, HPC X001, Sindelfingen D-71059, Germany; Tel: 49 7031 904 0789; www.daimlerchrysler.com) will be felt in San Francisco, CA. DaimlerChrysler has shipped two fuel cell vehicles to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, which will employ the vehicles in daily use. The grant was made as part of the U.S. DOE Hydrogen Learning Demonstration Project to underwrite the costs that vehicle manufacturers encounter as they field new fleets of fuel cell vehicles in the U.S.
