DVD News 08-06-2003 DVD NEWS-6 August 2003-DVDINSIDER: Intersil Expands RS-485/RS-422 LINEARLINK Family Intersil Corporation announced the addition of three new members to the LINEARLINK RS-485/RS-422 family of high-performance data transceivers, the ISL8483, ISL8488 and ISL8489. These new transceivers operate from a wider supply tolerance than competing products and all pins have greater than 7-kV ESD protection for increased reliability.
Slew rate limiting for a 250-kbps data rate minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMI) and delivers high data integrity for extended long-run applications.
