PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local BRITISH GAS TUNISIA (BGT), a subsidiary of UK-based BRITISH GAS (BG) PLC, is currently gearing-up to expand its gas production capacity in order to meet projected demand by the year 2002. As a result, BGT is aiming to increase its offshore production output up to some 5.5 million cubic meters per day.
As a result, BGT recently awarded an upgrade contract to COSTAIN OIL, GAS & PROCESS (OVERSEAS) of the UK, a subsidiary of the COSTAIN GROUP PLC. According to the terms of the award, COSTAIN will be responsible for expanding capacity as well as debottlenecking existing facilities. The company will thus handle engineering, procurement, installation and construction works.
