PROJECT OVERVIEW:
After posting an operating profit of $140,000,000 in 2002 the local EMAAR PROPERTIES is now said to be gearing-up to build what is claimed to be the tallest tower in the world. The new complex, of undisclosed cost and dubbed the Burj Dubai, is to be sited in the heart of Dubai. However, the cost and the height of the building will only be revealed in the coming months.
In any case, construction plans under consideration reportedly call for building a complex combining: - An hotel; - Residential and commercial space; - Entertainment and leisure outlets; - Open green spaces; - Water features; - Pedestrian boulevards, - An old town; - One of the world's largest shopping malls.
