PROJECT OVERVIEW
A French/Emirates joint venture was recently awarded construction contracts valued at about $405,000,000 in the UAE. The partners in the planned undertaking include France-based BOUYGUES CONSTRUCTION, a subsidiary of the BOUYGUES GROUP, and the local TARGET ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION CO.
According to the terms of the award the partnership will be responsible for building the: - Ritz-Carlton, 5-star hotel, in Dubai at an estimated cost of $272,000,000; - Red suspended metro line that will run through Dubai at a projected cost of $133,000,000.
BOUYGUES employs a total workforce of approximately 38,500. The company's core business includes building/public works, road and property development.
