PROJECT OVERVIEW
The local ABU DHABI NATIONAL HOTELS (ADNH) is currently gearing-up to build a 5-star destination resort on Saadiyat Island, the natural island lying 500 meters offshore from the UAE capital city. Construction plans under consideration call for building a 400,000 square foot hotel comprising about 400 rooms that will be subsequently managed by an international hotel operator. The ADNH resort is expected to have a unique setting overlooking a 300 meter-wide beach.
According to Khalifa Nasser Huwaileel Al Mansoori, ADNH Chairman, construction work is anticipated to begin during the first quarter of 2007. The cost to complete the real estate development project, by the second quarter of 2009, has been estimated at $190,000,000.
