Many engineers are willing to rotate into a quality function, but most will only stay a short time, using it as a steppingstone in the development of a meaningful career.

Not me. When I discovered W. Edwards Deming, Joseph M. juran, Genichi Taguchi, J. Stuart Hunter, George Box and other quality leaders, I was hooked. I believed quality was the key that enabled global competitiveness, and it was everything I wanted to do.
