LexisNexis and Watt Publishing both make acquisitions.(M & A's)

* Dolan Media Company this month agreed to sell its nationwide public records business to LexisNexis, a unit of Reed Elsevier Group plc. Closing is expected later this summer. Purchase price and terms were not disclosed.

Dolan Media was advised in the transaction by The van Tulleken Company, media investment bankers based in London and New York.

* Watt Publishing Co., a publisher of agribusiness and food-processing publications, conferences and trade shows, has acquired Chartwell Communications, which has titles focused on the woodworking and furniture business.

The Jordan, Edmiston Group of New York represented Watt during the acquisition.
