Tim Baskerville has been named president of Kagan Research LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of MCG Capital. Tim has been in the newsletter business since 1977. In the 1980s, he founded Vidmar Communications, which he eventually sold to what was then Phillips Publishing Inc.

In the 1990s he founded and ran Baskerville Communications, which he sold to the Informa Group in 1999.

Kagan Research, founded in 1969 by Paul Kagan, is a pioneer in analyzing media companies. Its products and services include 17 newsletters, 45 databooks and special reports, a conference business, and a consulting arm that performs appraisals and valuations of companies.
