Daphne Musslewhite, who retired as publisher of Thompson Publishing Group in 2002, died October 17, 2007. The Arlington, Virginia, resident spent most of her Washington journalism career, beginning in 1969, at Thompson.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Daphne graduated from the University of Georgia's school of journalism.
She was an active member of Walker Chapel United Methodist Church in Arlington. She served as a member of the executive committee of the Arlington Senior Adult Council and a board member of the newly formed Alliance for Arlington Senior Programs.
Daphne is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ronald Musselwhite, and a sister and brother and four nieces.
