BenQ Siemens keen on tapping UAE's growing mobile phone user base.

Sep. 10--BenQ Siemens, the innovative mobile communication solutions provider, is gearing up to tap the fast growing cellular phone user base in the UAE with its recently launched range of mobile phones. A recent Madar Research study shows that as at the end of 2005 there were 4.5 million phone connections in the UAE, marking a 23 per cent increase over 2004. The study revealed that the growth in fixed-line connections, which reached about 1.2 million lines as at end of last year, was significantly lower, at four per cent.
