Comverse, a unit of Comverse Technology, announced the results of research carried out to assess the UK market demand for messaging services over TV.

The research revealed a strong interest among digital TV(DTV)subscribers to send and receive messages such as voicemail, short messages (SMS), email and instant messaging on their TV sets.

Conducted by Continental Research, the findings indicate a large potential for TVUM (unified messaging over TV).
