NDS Group, the interactive media development arm of News Corporation, has entered into an interactive application development partnership with Princeton Video Image (PVI), a developer of virtual advertising technology for broadcasting.
Under the terms of the agreement, NDS Group will integrate its Value@TV interactive television (iTV) applications with PVI's iPoint platform, a hardware and software system enabling digital set-top boxes to insert virtual and interactive images into live and pre-recorded television programmes.
In addition, it is understood that the partnership will also extend to cooperating in the development of new iTV applications...
