Yahoo has launched a new version of its instant messenger service, giving broadband conectees a far better frame update rate for their Webcams.

While the previous Yahoo messenger used a frame rate of one per second, the new version operates at 20 frames per second, close to the movie and television standard of 24 per second. The improvement is aimed at those with broadband connections.
