Microsoft is to release a series of broadband networking products for the home next year.

Using Intersil's PRISM WLAN hardware alongside their own software, Microsoft is hoping to lure customers previously put off by the apparent 'complexity' of setting up a wireless network.

In order to accomplish this, Microsoft will be offering 24/7 toll-free technical support during a two-year warranty period, as well as in-store, online and on-the-packaging technical help to enable the customer to determine what her requires.
