German automaker Audi said recently that it believes "connected" vehicles will be the next step in reducing vehicle CO2 emissions.

By "connected" vehicles, Audi means vehicles that have "more intelligent interactions between driver and car, cars on the road and in the collection and distribution of real-time traffic patterns."
