Neste Hit with [euro]500,000 Fine for 2001 Oil Leak

Finland's Neste Oil announced recently that the country's Supreme Court has fined the company [euro]500,000 (U.S. $772,000) for environmental damage resulting from a 2001 oil leak.

The case regards a spill of about 300 cubic meters of oil at the company's Naantali refinery in December 2001 during an oil transfer.
