SALES OF EXISTING HOMES rose 0.6 percent in November, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported last week. David Lereah, NAR's chief economist, said the positive results in November raised the possibility that existing home sales might set a new record in 2001, but that will not be known until December sales results are published later this month.
